Turner “Tfue” Tenney
Turner Tenney is the real name of the American eSports player, better known online as Tfue. Unlike other successful gamers, Turner has a gift. He was born on January 2, 1998, in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida.
At only 20 years of age, he was known from many crazy videos on the social networks, but now, he is most recognizable by playing a Fortnite, well known as “The Best Player in the World.” His fans say that Tfue is better than Ninja and the entire community of Fortnite.
He has an older brother named Jack who helped him a lot to become what he is today. His brother is a famous YouTuber posting pranks, challenges, and sports videos.
His YouTube channel is called ‘JOOGSQUAD PPJT‘, and he goes by the online nickname ‘JOOGSQUAD.’ Tfue is far from a stereotypical couch potato gamer.
Turner was a part of his brother’s YouTube channel and appeared on videos featuring skateboarding, surfing, skimboarding, and trampoline stunts. He is the actor of some of the deadliest cliff and bridge jumps.
The Start of a Legend
Turner started playing video games when he was about 12 years old. He and his brother, Jack, had very different gaming styles. Turner took very seriously every game he played while Jack was joking around.
His first gaming addiction was Halo. He later moved on to different games like ‘Call of Duty’ and ‘Destiny.’ Turner Tenney’s first YouTube video was gameplay of ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare,’ posted on November 16, 2014.
Being quite successful with the game, he decided to team up with Twitch to stream the game on that platform. Within a brief period, he started earning a decent sum of money by posting videos and streaming online.
In this period of his life, he decided to start his own YouTube channel as a Call of Duty YouTuber. When ‘PUBG’ and ‘H1Z1’ introduced the ‘battle royale’ format, he began streaming those games on Twitch and attended professional ‘H1Z1’ tournaments.
There he met another famous gamer, Ninja, with whom he would continue to compete down the road.
By the time Fortnite was released, he was already known as an experienced battle royale player. Because he was one of the first players to master the new game he is now one of the best at finding exploits on the map and in the game.
If there is something that can be taken advantage of he will find it. Driving on his Fortnite success, he joined FaZe clan — one of his best decisions ever made. This move made his YouTube and Twitch channels gain fans exponentially.
Tfue now has over 7.1 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 4 million followers on Twitch. He streams every day, and this number is growing every passing day.
On June 8, 2018, Tfue and Nick Eh 30, One_shot_GURL and FaZe Cloak set the PC world record with the most squad kills ever of 53. Tfue and Cloak won against Nick and OneShot during the famous 53 kill squad game.
Controversy and Scandals
In Fortnite Tfue is recognized for his scandals and controversy, which are undoubtedly a big part of his career.
His first controversy was the ’40 kill solo game (King of the hill)’ on June 19, 2017. He uploaded a video in which he set the H1Z1 World Record placing 6th.
Many of the viewers say that the game was set-up, filled with Stream Snipers letting Tfue get the kills, without actually competing against each other most of the game.
Since early 2018, he had more controversies than actual plays. He got banned from Twitch for saying a racial slur. He went to Tilted Towers and saw one person with a character having dark skin and said: “Where is this coon?”
Twitch thought it was an inappropriate racial joke. The truth was that the person’s skin was from a Twitch Prime pack with dark outfits, not dark skin, so Tfue’s ban was reduced from 30 days to 7 days.
Coincidentally, one month after Fortnite Tfue’s ban on Twitch, on June 22, 2018, his Fortnite account was permanently banned due to buying an account with rare skins. Substantial evidence of this was shown on Twitter by him asking for skins/accounts.
His fans say it was due to wall hacking; nevertheless, Tfue did create a new account called, “Not Tfue” and vowed never to buy skins or dances from Fortnite. He played with only a recruiter skin, called “default” or “no skin.”
From November 6, 2018 Tfue plays with ‘Bullseye’ skin because he made a tweet saying ” 100,000 RETWEETS AND ILL BUY A SKIN”. Of course, the tweet reaches 100,000 retweets, and he had to pursue the skin.
On August 7, 2018, his Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook accounts were hacked. His Twitter name was changed to ‘FaZe Gurv’ and profile picture replaced with a mysterious man. He reviled offensive tweets about other Fortnite gamers including Keemstar, Ninja, and Myth.
Most recently, On August 23, 2018, his YouTube channel was deleted by the same hackers. Later that day, his Twitch was suspended once more due to harassment.
He raided a stream on twitch (sent his viewers to another stream) and they started behaving very poorly and Twitch took action on him even though this was not his fault and out of his control.
Both of his accounts were reinstated on September 5, 2018, and Fortnite Tfue became the most viewed streamer on that day.

It appears in Fortnite TFue is currently trying to leave FaZe clan due to contract issues similar to Cloak. Though TFue has dropped FaZe from his name he is still contractually in FaZe clan.
